They tried to find the problem for 45 minutes and then gave up and let the car sit there for 2 full days before I called and gave them a hard time. Told them I needed it by a Monday, they noted Tuesday. Told them there was coolant leaking around the fuel injectors, they called and told me there was no visible leak (they what the heck is this green liquid around the fuel injectors?!) Not a car savvy guy, but was in a crunch, so I investigated and diagnosed the problem and called them to tell them what to look for. Finally, on day 3, after being TOLD it was a bad intake manifold, they called back to tell me it was just the gasket.
I drove into Stillwater on Saturday for the Football game and my 2013 Chevy Cruze all of a sudden overheated. I had it towed here. They were going to charge me $564 to change the thermostat housing that I can order online for $80. Come to find out the ACTUAL PROBLEM was on the other side of the motor called a Coolant Wster Outlet and the part cost me $23 online! Do we think they are overcharging people just a little for their parts? I would suggest you shop around before having any work done at this Firestone!
Had a lifetime alignments. Took another customer before me even though I had an appointment because they would get more money. Worst experience I have ever had with a firestone. I will be driving the 1 hr plus to find one with better customer service.
I said "are you sure about that?" and they said they were certain and that intake manifolds never go bad. If it was the manifold I was going to do it myself to save money, if it was the gasket I was going to let them do it because it was half the price. So they started on the gaskets, only to call back in a bit and say "we've got it taken apart and you were right, it's the intake manifold." They proceeded to tell me I'd still have to pay them the $540 for the gaskets either way and that the manifold would be $430 extra dollars. Well even that estimate was wrong because the final bill was $1150.
Love Firestone in Tulsa, but in Stillwater, you're better off with napa auto parts and YouTube. Only use these guys if you have no other option.
