So I adopted a kitten from the animal welfare here in Stillwater. The shelter covered my baby's spay. Picking her up was easy, all I had to do was sign a sheet and they went over the care for her for the next 24 hours. Great! She recovered quickly and easily. Well the first week my fiancé and I noticed black specs on her head. (We thought since she is a playful little kitten she maybe picked it up under the couch or somewhere around my apartment). Well she has fleas! And the black specs were feces from the pest! We didn't notice until last night when we actually saw the pest with our own eyes. I wish they would have bothered to tell us our cat had fleas!
Really good prices but weren't very communicative. I went in with my dog who had been randomly yelping, they acted like I was stupid for bringing him in. They told me what was wrong with him but that was all they really said. Gave him a steroid shot without asking first, I didn't realize they'd even done it until it was too late. Also gave pain pills I didn't want(or use). I was planning on making them our regular vet and wanted to speak to them about neutering, microchipping, and h3n2 but again they didn't seem to want to talk to me. Communication is important to me, I will find another vet. Good if you're just looking for cheap services and don't need to know what they will be doing to your pet
We used another Vet for years and it never failed when we went in the bill would be $$$ HIGH. We got tired of it and started looking around. We tried many Vets and ended up at Cimmaron. Most of the time they do test and do not ever charge us for them even if we point it out. They also listen to you, they do not try and herd you out like cattle. They also love seeing our dogs come in. Our Basset is 13, she’s a SR dog and she gets the best treatment there. They all love her old dog face just like we do. I have zero complaints.
Doctor Pitts is amazing and took such good care of our little doggie. I highly recommend them.
They're aren't the best when it comes to older dogs. They dropped ours and she became paralyzed...nice but slightly careless.
