A very good experience probably would have resulted in continuing care with this vet. Now I'm not sure - it could be awkward having to deal with the receptionist. The three stars above are an effort to be balanced in judgment with consideration to the rest of the clinic, which I didn't have a chance to get to know.
My boyfriend and I have brought both of our cats in and we absolutely love it! We are always able to make the appointments that work the best for us, and our cats are always treated so well. We had one kitten fixed here and they were very attentive and called to give updates periodically and even called to ask how she was doing afterwards! I would highly recommend!
The staff at Baker Animal Clinic are courteous, knowledgeable and very friendly. The Doctors are outstanding. They do a fine job with our animals and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a vet for their pets!
I was charged for a service I did not receive. Fortunately, I reviewed the receipt, discovered the item myself, and called for clarification. They claimed they had already credited the item to my account. Or they could put it back on my credit card. This was the only time I had been there, having moved further from my previous vet, and they had no way of knowing if I would be a regular or if this was a one-time visit - Was someone not going to let me know?
After the visit, I received a promotional email about a special offer on flea and tick medication. I called the next day for actual prices, but the person who answered had no idea what I was talking about. That is pretty bad form, since the email had come from their office. She eventually was able to provide prices for two options but when I went in to pay and pick up, the prices I had been quoted were incorrect. I have the notes on them; there was no mistake on my part. And there was an additional discrepancy in info provided. With an edge, I was told I must have misunderstood. Clearly, there was some kind of misunderstanding. But there's a world of difference between saying "there must've been a misunderstanding" and you must've misunderstood".
Absolutely love Dr. Maria! We moved to Utah and really miss her because she is the best vet we have ever had! She really cares about her patients and their owners.
I would highly recommend Baker Animal Clinic. I moved here in 2014 from Florida with 2 older golden retrievers who both had medical issues. Dr. Crawford took over their care and I cannot say enough good things about her and the staff.
