My husband and I rented a unit here for five years and just terminated our agreement with the owners due to a couple horrible experiences. Our unit was just broken in to during the middle of the day, with the owner there. The thief actually asked the owner where "unit 72" was and the owner directed him to our unit. The thief told the owner it was his "grandma's unit," but the owner did not even ask for ANY identification. We were not even notified for over an hour that it was broken in to. Once we were notified and we called the police, the owner admitted that he did not recognize the man at all but still never requested identification. Our lock was un-cuttable, but the thief was able to easily pry off the entire latch on the door to get in, in broad daylight, while the owner was present. Never was their any remorse or an apology given by the owner, and when we asked for a refund for the current month, we were told it was too late in the month to get a refund. If the situation wasn't bad enough, the earlier situation involved a five foot snake found at the door of our unit. Gross. After being loyal customers for five years, it was incredibly disheartening to be treated so poorly. We would hate for this to happen to anyone else.
