Fantastic care! It turns out that the center in Edmond our daughter had been at since she was 3 months old was not worth the premium they were charging us. We relocated to Stillwater and had to find another center quickly. After days of center tours we came across the Renaissance school, a gem of a facility on the south west side of Stillwater, and we were immediately impressed with what it has to offer. The center is located on the nicest side of Stillwater on Sangre Rd and has tons of "curb appeal", sports modern amenities, bright cheerful rooms, and teachers who really seem to care about your child. The center’s manager, Toni, is genuine, refreshing and works continuously to make us feel at home and secure in leaving our daughter. As an added incentive, this center has a tornado shelter built in the middle of the building for all of the children in case of bad weather, lets face it, it is Oklahoma. Our daughter just completed her first week at the center so we may be a bit premature in our recommendation, but this place is definitely worth a tour.

My kids love this school. I have seen a huge jump in their development over the previous daycare.

I am not understanding why someone would say this place is great. this place is horrible. take your kids somewhere else.

The extremely unprofessional behavior on the part of the Renaissance people was unprecedented. I'm used to having people be able to talk professionally, to handle children and redirect them (it is after all childcare). This is the big 300 pound gorilla that doesnt have to follow those rules ... they have 10 kids waiting for your kid's spot. They don't have to do well.

At least some of the 5-star reviews seem to be duplicate reviews by the same person and by the same family.

Worst daycare ever!!! Check your receipts because this business is the most crooked place. I have never met a daycare that stole from the parents they are not about the children they are about the money only. If you love to get ripped off go ahead.

For months afterwards, I paid a nanny because I was afraid every other childcare center in Stw would be the same. I've been extremely happy at Presbyterian and at the CDL during the summer too. I wouldn't go to renaissance if they paid me.

This is a warehouse for kids. Stw's childcare offerings are few, which is why the Renaissance "Walmarts" are spreading like wildfire. Almost every babysitter I've had has worked for them, because they have high turnover. Sitters tell me that they don't like working for them because of their penny pinching and their methods. They try to send teachers home in the afternoon (so they dont have to pay teachers) and that is why Lori scurries around with the kids strapped into the buggy every afternoon.

I never was satisfied with their facilities - they have 2 classes, babies and toddlers, in the same room, separated by a counter - which meant someone was always crying during naptime. Given the $$ Lori is minting, surely she could do better.

I called Lori and complained, and she lied and said that she had been in the office and didn't hear the principal say those things. I said, "well, if you're going to lie, we can't have a conversation."

My daughter is a very mild mannered easy going kid, but she NEVER was happy about going there. I felt guilty every single day. She was there 2 months, and she never got used to it. At Presbyterian, it took her just a week or two.

The principal called me one day, out of the blue, saying my kid was throwing a fit and would not calm down. I dont know what they did, but my daughter doesn't throw fits. I had had long convos with her teacher, and she had said my daughter was absolutely no problem.

At this point, I realized I didn't trust these people to be with my daughter for a second, so I went, took my daughter (who was sleeping) and emptied her cubby. My daughter showed signs of being frightened for days afterwards. If anyone spoke to her in a raised voice, she hid under a table - which was unusual for her. I dont know what those people did, but they should have random monitoring by the CFS. I was told by the local authorities that they had great concerns about Renaissance.

The principal called me again 10 minutes later and told me to take my daughter away, though I was supposed to go to work right then. I said politely that I was surprised my kid was behaving this way, and Jamie snapped rudely, "Well then maybe you should take her to a different place." I was amazed at the suddenness of her reaction, and asked her what she meant. She turned snippy and bitchy on me.
