If you are seriously considering renting from this family that is the equivalent of the inbred hicks in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre… PLEASE! Go and look up Stillwater Property on OSCN, and see all of the lawsuits they have brought against renters.
First, I stayed solely because of the price. I would have my bank mail them a check every month. I never asked them to fix anything because they would send out goons who didn't know the first thing about what they were supposed to fix...if they sent anyone at all. (Think meth addicts who are probably not legally employed.) I basically had as little contact with them as possible because I knew that any experience with that worthless company was going to be a nightmare -- and it was!
When I received my last lease renewal it had no increase to the rent. When I had a moment to stop by I realized that I didn't have my copies with me. I called SPM and of course they tell me they can print new copies...just come by and sign. I showed up and as I'm reading the lease renewal I see they've thrown in a rent increase. Seriously?!? I'll go home and grab the original copies, you shady scumbag slumlords. They dropped the rent back to the original agreement. I also submitted another request for repairs -- on top of all the other requests that were never fulfilled.
I lived in the same apartment with SPM for 4 years, and I can tell you everything about them...you also might be wondering why I've stayed so long?
I lived in Creekside Condos for a year and they are great little places. The yard was the perfect size and the stained concrete floors were a perfect fit for someone with pets like me. I never had any issues with them and the only appliance I had a problem with was my AC unit, which was promptly fixed. If you take care of the property you rent from them and pay your rent, you will have no problems at all.
This company is literally ran by a bunch of inbred hicks.
The pictures below are things that I asked Stillwater Property Management to fix, and they didn’t. There was everything from feces in the toilet and bathtub to mold under sinks and on the walls. The list goes on and on. STAY AWAY! They should be put out of business…because they prey on college students.

After renting from Stillwater Property Management for a year I have been consistently impressed with their efficiency and organization. Any property work we needed done was always fixed promptly. They offer the best prices in town and are always quick to answer any questions or concerns. It has been a pleasure renting from Stillwater Property Management and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking in the Stillwater area!
SO, THE BEST THING TO DO IS TO RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM THESE LYING, CHEATING, HORRIBLE EXCUSES FOR HUMAN BEINGS.
So, in short, be very careful if you decide to rent from these people. They are literally the stuff that nightmares are made of.
The positive reviews have to be paid, are fake, or are friends of the family, no one has had a good experience with Stillwater Property Management.
Unfortunately, Google won't let me go on with all of the things wrong with this company, but I provided some photos to give you more of an idea.
I called to check on the repairs that were never completed and got Carey Nicholas who then proceeded to make excuses why he is a moron, and why his staff are morons. He then proceeded to cuss me out, and tell me that he would "rip up my lease renewals," which is dumb because I have copies. (I know that I am dealing with a bunch of inbred hicks with extremely low IQs, who are unethical at best, but most likely operating in an illegal manner.)
We have only been in our house for two weeks and Stillwater Property has been so great! The previous tenants were very unclean and did not do a good job of keeping the house nice. I was a little concerned when we viewed the house, but we signed the lease anyway! Upon receiving our keys, the house was SPOTLESS and very clean, a new coat of paint, fresh cut yard, and new carpet (much needed!) We were extremely pleased with the condition of the house on move-in day! Since living in the house the water heater pilot light went out and Stillwater Property had someone out to our house in under 5 minutes of our maintenance call. So far they have been great!!! I would definitely recommend renting from them!
You will never get your deposit back, and they will find ways to sue you for way more than they legally should because they have a collusive deals with the Judges in Payne County.
So, I hung up.
