The tent camping here is much better than Carl Blackwell and we've already got our monies worth out of the year pass in 1 month! It's great that camping is included with the membership and you can make reservations easily online.

Great place to go camping, hiking, mtn biking, and play disc golf! We've been regulars at Lake Carl Blackwell in the past and this year we decided to also get the year membership for McMurtry.
Rode the Orange trail for first time in 7 or 8 years. It has definitely improved! Very fun ride. I would highly recommend it. Would consider it an intermediate. The Blue trail to the South is also a lot of fun and much easier.
