over prices and not enough selection. we've been in a couple times and each time they've only had like 3 flavors to choose from.
Atmosphere was the best thing about this place. Only reason for the 2 stars. I tried it last year around April because I had never had one from a cupcakery. Was seriously thinking about opening a new shop in Stillwater so I was scoping out the competition. Got the cupcakes home and both my now ex and myself couldn't finish them. They were disgusting. Bland, boring, and nasty. I immediately started making my own and was surprised that despite the fact that I had very little baking experience and NONE in the cupcake business, that I did a much better job on my first batch then they made. I have since moved out of Stillwater so will definitely not be opening a business there, but to me, it would be easy to take business away from these people.
I live almost an hour away but have wanted to visit since it opened. I so wanted to like this place. When I finally got to visit the shop it was adorable. When I purchased the cupcakes I was very disappointed. I paid $4.08 per cupcake, almost $16 for 3 cupcakes, water and coffee. The cupcakes looked wonderful but what I got was oil, shortening, sugar and artificial or substandard ingredients. I had to scrape off the icing which was nothing more than a large lump of shortening and sugar. The cupcake underneath was very small and oily. All I could really taste was greasy, sugar icing and bland oily cupcake. The cupcakes were oily, almost tasteless and what little I could taste didn't taste good at all. My opinion overall, pretty pastars which was the reason for the two stars, but nothing to speak of when you finally get through all of the frills to the actual products.
Lovely shop with cute cupcakes. They also taste amazing just caution if your watching your calories!!
Had cupcakes from this place and wasn't very impressed. Feel sorry for the people that bought them, they paid a very hefty amount for the cupcakes. I've had much better before in Enid, OK.
