This is our first use of this company. The service technician left an excellent impression. He was friendly and kind, a courteous and professional person who answered questions in an easy-to-understand manner. He was transparent about the work, and the work completed was very helpful. We were impressed and would definitely request his services again.
Electrician has been out twice and have also talked to the boss that oversaw the initial installation of two in-panel GFI's I just wanted individual GFI's 3 for the kitchen & one for each of 2 bathrooms The in-panel GFI's were quoted by the boss for approximately $29 each for two that were, as explained to me, to protect the entire house and were to be installed in the breaker box. Later in the day AFTER they installed them and left the boss called me and said that the GFI's were $79 each instead of the $29 he quoted me at my house before they were installed, I, fortunately had the extra money to pay the new price and paid them Advantage Olumina had done the same thing wit their quote. Months later, believing the entire time the entire house was protected an inexpensive toaster caught on fire in the kitchen I happened to be standing there when it caught fire and had to pull the electrical cord to the toaster to get the fire to extinguish in the toaster. I called Field Electric the same boss told me that the toaster catching on fire would not be tripped by the GFI as it was not making a complete circuit and I hung up disappointed about being 'enlightened' about this. At some point I actually checked their work and had become suspicious about their explanation and discovered at least one of the GFI's did not turn ANYTHING off when the switch for it was turned off in the breaker box. I called them they sent a different electrician out and said the other one had been let go. Again I assumed the work had been done properly after they left. I went to find the switch in the breaker box to shut the fridge off recently and it is on the same breaker as one of the GFI's. The same boss left a message on my phone and said the work was done properly. I talked to the owner and after an agitating conversation with him he said he wouldn't do anything more. I called back and gave the secretary the address where I am living and asked for a letter in writing saying that they stand behind their work. I also, in all fairness, told her I talked to other entities about this, giving her specific names then she accused me of slandering them & told me to never call them again and to remove their number from my phone I also saw where the Facebook review I left on their page has been deleted . I DON'T utilize 'courtly pursuits' to solve 'trust and promise' as EVERY contractor I have used in the area has provided sub standard work. There was an offer AND an acceptance that was given by ALL PARTIES involved I fulfilled MY END of that agreement 'in my opinion' like every other contractor they HAVE NOT fulfilled THEIR END of this agreement and pulling out 'habeas corpus' or nolo contrendre or 'manis turbotom' on a 'journey of the replevin' are ALL some side bar of a dog and pony show of a guy who says he has owned the business since 1967 and as the owner told me to unplug the fridge or turn it off inside as a solution to turning off the fridge and there is still NO GUARANTEE the GFI's even work and I DON'T care to be electrocuted to death to validate MY CONCERNS and some remaining 'relatives' being given some 'stipen' for retribution does NOTHING for me if I 'am already dead' . The owner also leaves the impression he is lacking in understanding basic verbal speech and exhibits claims of some inability to comprehend NORMAL speech speeds and asks you to slow down when attempting to talk to him and he has a license to kill?
Fields electric replaced a breaker box for me months ago in a house that I rent that was not up to city codes. My electric bills runs anywhere from $200-235 and has been for well over a year now. We were in hopes this would solve the problem but in fact it went up. I have tried to contact them several times over the last couple of months to have them come back out and see what is going on with the electricity there. I was told it was either the wiring which is pretty scary or that one of the appliances there could be the problem only cannot get anyone to answer nor even call me back to see what is going on there. That to me is very unprofessional that over a month has gone by and no response.
