I really like the lunch buffet at Freddie Paul's. The place is clean, the food is kept fresh, staff is always friendly plus the have a decent but small salad bar as will as a soft serve ice cream machine so both ends of the spectrum is covered pretty well.
Found a tapeworm in the catfish. Server went to get a manager without us even asking for one and he came out very rude and confrontational and practically accused us of lying.
He said they inspected the fish and didn't find any worms when we clearly said the worm was pulled it out of my wife's mouth and we sat it on the rim of the plate...he said catfish is naturally stringy... Even though she had only taken a few bites of the dish I guess he thought we were trying to get a free meal or something. We never asked for a new plate or for them to take it off the ticket but he did end up taking it off for us.
Great place to escape the chain restaurants. Similar to Texas Roadhouse but with more of a local feel. The brisket fries are AWESOME! They could be a meal on their own. You won't leave this place hungry.
Delicious pork chop dinner! The salad bar is wonderful. Not a cheap place, but not super expensive. Locally owned, not a chain.
Obviously they didn't know their fish had worms because they serve prepackaged frozen fish but for the evening manager to come out like he did when we didn't cause a scene or anything is cause enough for us to not go back.
Great food, great service, will go back again. Definitely check out the salad bar. No gluten free options but accommodated a burger by giving Lettuce as a bun substitute.
